Begins playing aged 13 in 1973. Studies art at college and so there’s often an art school mentality to my compositions. A retired art and music teacher. Divide my time between painting and the continued study of music. Fondness for Latin jazz. Recently composed 20 or so pieces (not all of which will be used) after being invited to produce a Latin jazz record. The track “When?….By Now” is one such piece and is one that I tend to play on gigs as it seems to translate quite well into a jazz quartet situation.
